Gridiron-Glory Rules

Introduction:

The Gridiron-Glory is a fictional College Football league created by Mark Cooley using Bowl Bound College Football, which was created by Greydogsoftware (www.greydogsoftware.com). In the Gridiron-Glory you take on the roll of Head Coach at any University of your choice and make a run for the Sears Trophy. The league will use the 2005 season as a starting point.

Requirements:

 To own a team in the GG, you must own a licensed copy of Bowl Bound College Football; the league is currently at version 1.52. To download and purchase the latest version of Bowl Bound, click on the link below.

Head Coach Responsibilities:

Sims are held twice per week, Tuesday and Saturday during the regular season. As the coach of a university in GG, you are responsible for setting your team line up and depth chart, and export \upload your team file twice a week. You can view the league calendar on the front page of the site, under Links on the left. You can also navigate to the following url for the league calendar. There you will see the entire sim schedule for the GG season.

Non Conference Scheduling:

Bowl Bound automatically schedules conference games for all teams, human head coaches need to schedule non conference games. Each team will be expected to play 11-12 games during the GG season. The games are to be scheduled in the league forums, which can be accessed from the main page by click on the Forum link on the top of the page, or by going to the below url. , and go to the Scheduling Forum.

Coaches can schedule either 1 game for the upcoming season or a home and away series with another school. All games must be confirmed by both coaches in the forum and game sites must be determined.

Training Camp:

Training camp is 6 game weeks long; during this time you need to set the following:

            1: Team Budget \ Scouting Service

            2: Select Offensive \ Defensive Formations

            3: Set Schedules week1

            4: Set Schedules week2

            5: Set Schedules week3

            6: Set depth chart and redshirt players

*NOTE* Scheduling is very important as this is where you input non conference games you agreed to on the forums. Both schools will need to input their games.

Season:

The Gridiron-Glory season is 21 game weeks long including regular season \ bowl games and playoffs.

            Week 1-15 Regular Season

            Week 16 Conference Championships

            Weeks 17-21 Bowl \  Playoff games

Offseason:

The Gridiron-Glory off season is 21 game weeks long.

            Week 1: Job offers

            Weeks 2- 4 Hire / fire staff

            Weeks 5-7 College Transfers

            Weeks 8-17 Recruiting

            Week 18 Training

Download Instructions:

Follow the following instructions to download and save your game file.

1: Before downloading the league file, you must have received your team password from the commissioner to open your team file.

2: Once you have received your team password, navigate to www.gridiron-glory.net  and click on the File link at the top of the page, doing that you will be prompted for a download location.

Download the file and extract the file to

C:\Program Files\GDS\Bowl Bound College Football\saves.

3: Launch Bowl Bound , select Gridiron-Glory for the league to open, then select your team and enter your password.

Upload Instructions:

1: Due to the large number of owners in Gridiron-Glory, it is impossible for the commissioner to manually set each team’s roster /depth chart who does not export. Any team without an export will be set to auto for that sim with no exceptions.

2: Once you are finished updating your team, click the save league button on the left. Then, click the Online button, there you can export you file by using Export Coach File link.

3: Open a browser and go to http://www.gridiron-glory.net    and click on Upload icon on the right, or Bobby Bowden’s pic.

4: Cllck on Browse, and go to C:\Program Files\GDS\Bowl Bound College Football\multiplayer\GG , there you will see a team**.coa file, click on that file to upload.

 5: In the LP Field, enter Gridiron Glory

 6: In the Password field enter team password that you were told to use for uploads by the commish.

7:  Click upload
